Road Safety Value Partnership (R.S.V.P.)
Traffic
enforcement and traffic safety is the responsibility of the Uniform
Patrol section of the Shelburne Police Service. Despite not having
police members dedicated solely to traffic enforcement, a considerable
amount of time and resources is spent by the uniform patrol section
ensuring the streets of Shelburne are safe including a four month
traffic initiative called the Road Safety Value Partnership (R.S.V.P.) beginning the May long weekend and lasting until Labour Day weekend.
This traffic initiative targets all traffic-related offences within the Town of Shelburne. During this initiative, officers are assigned to conduct enforcement of specific offences such as speeding, red light runners, stop sign enforcement, Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement and any other traffic offence.
We are working towards safer roads – getting in the car shouldn't be a life threat.
