The Shelburne Police Service responded to 50 calls for service between January 2nd until January 8th 2012.

 

Below are highlights of the calls for service:

 

Brother and Sister Arrested for Break and Enter

 

On January 2nd 2012 at approximately 7:45PM, members of the Shelburne Police were made aware of a break and enter as well as an assault that had occurred at an apartment on Main Street.  Investigation revealed that a female had attended the apartment of an ex-boyfriend.  Also accompanied by the female was her brother. 

They knocked at the door and were met by the victim.  The victim was assaulted by the female and clothing thrown out of the apartment.  She was then forced out of the apartment by the female and male.

 

Police located the pair and they were arrested shortly thereafter.  Charged with Break and Enter, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon and Criminal Harassment is 26-year old Kristol Kirkham of Dundalk.  She was held in custody for a show cause hearing.

Also charged with Break and Enter and Criminal Harassment is 22-year old Nathan Kirkham of Dundalk.  He was released on a Promise to Appear and given a court date in Orangeville. 

 

The victim was treated at the hospital for her injuries and released.
