June 16th - June 30th, 2004

On June 17th, 2004 at approximately 6:30 p.m. a female victim was assaulted while walking in a laneway east of the IGA store. A Warrant has been issued for Michael Deacon 18 years of Shelburne.

Over the last two weeks the Shelburne Police Service has investigated 6 calls regarding counterfeit $20.00 Canadian bills issued around the Town.

On June 22nd, 2004 during a traffic stop police charged Trevor James Payne 18 years of Shelburne with Possession of a controlled substance (2 counts). Mr. Payne is to appear in Ontario Court in Orangeville on July 19th, 2004.

On June 25th, 2004 police charged Jeffrey Michael Cournoyea 21 years of Shelburne with Theft, Possession of stolen property, Breach of probation and 6 counts of Fraud. It was alleged Mr. Cournoyea had a stolen bank client card and fraudulently used it. Mr. Cournoyea was held for a bail hearing.

Sometime between June 26th and June 27th, 2004 a 1992 Green Plymouth Voyager van was stolen from Owen Sound Street. On June 29th, 2004 the vehicle was located in the Peel Region area.

On June 17th, 2004 at around 3:30 p.m. a skateboard was stolen from the skateboard park. The board is described as a Model "BLANK" Destructo trucks, red bottom with Skulls for a design.

On June 26th, 2004 between 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. unknown persons stole a Mercedes Benz hood ornament off a car parked on Main Street East.

On June 19th, 2004 police took a report of a theft of lumber in the new subdivision near the arena. Police are investigating several thefts of building materials over the past few months.
