12 January 2005 - 16 February 2005

On January 24th, 2005 Shelburne Police attended a residence for a domestic disturbance. A Youth has been charged with Assault and Uttering Threats.

On January 27th, 2005 a Cannon Power Shot camera was lost in the area of Main Street East and Greenwood Street, Shelburne. Anyone finding this is asked to turn it into the Shelburne Police office.

Between January 28th and January 29th, 2005 an undisclosed amount of money was removed from a house on Marie Street also on the same night another house was entered on Marie Street in which an undisclosed amount of money was removed. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or the Shelburne Police Service.

Over the past month a number of counterfeit bills have been turned over to the Shelburne Police. They are as follows:

On January 19th, 2005 a theft of alcohol was reported from the Shelburne Curling Club. 3 Youths and 2 adults have been charged with Theft Under and Possession of Stolen Property.

On January 21st, 2005 during a Minor Hockey game unknown persons removed 3 hockey sticks from outside the dressing rooms. The sticks are described as follows: Bauer Vapor left handed stick, silver with white tape on the blade. An Orange Synergy left handed stick, and a Maroon Easton Cyclone stick with a KOHO blade-Daze style. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers or the Shelburne Police.

On January 25th, 2005 103 sheets of OSB press board was taken from the VanDyke Construction site on Fiddle Park Lane.

On January 27th, 2005 the front window of a residence was broken by unknown persons by throwing a piece of ice, breaking the outside pane. Estimated damage is $400.00. Anyone with information on this is asked to call Crime Stoppers or the Shelburne Police.

On February 3rd, 2005 Shelburne Police stopped a vehicle on routine patrol. Charged is Christopher Grant 20 years of Shelburne with Fail to comply with Undertaking. Mr. Grant is to appear in Ontario Court in Orangeville on March 8th, 2005 to answer to the charge.

On February 6th, 2005 a male party was assaulted at a local liquor establishment. Charged is Erik Joseph HACHE 28 years of Shelburne with Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Breach of Probation. Mr. Hache was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

On February 8th, 2005 unknown person(s) threw a rock through a door in a portable located at Hyland Heights Elementary School.

On February 12th, 2005 Shelburne Police took reports from citizens that while parked at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex two vehicles were entered and property was removed. In one vehicle an MP3 player was stolen and in the other 2 purses were stolen. Police are reminding the public to lock their vehicles and not to leave anything important or valuable in their vehicles.

The Shelburne Police have responded to 13-911 calls within the last month. Residents are asked to please be careful when dialing their telephone.
