June 29th, 2005 - July 6th, 2005

On June 29th, 2005 a school bus was damaged while it traveled on Main Street East. An unknown object was thrown at the bus, which broke the windshield. No one was hurt as a result of this damage.

Shelburne Police would like to warn residents that razor blades have been found at Hyland Park in the grass. Anyone finding any dangerous items are asked not to touch them and to call police.

On July 1st, 2005 a bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex. The bike is described as a BMX silver in colour.

Between July 2nd and July 3rd, 2005 unknown persons pulled the cover off the swimming pool at Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex and threw rocks into the pool. Also a Port a Pottie was tipped over.

Between July 1st and July 4th, 2005 vehicles in the Jelly Street South and Centre Street area were damaged. Unknown persons kicking the vehicles and walking over them caused the damage.

On July 1st, 2005 Shelburne Police received a report of stolen alcohol from a residence on William Street. Arrested and charged was Rodney Allan Wood 48 years of Shelburne who was charged with Theft Under, Possession of Stolen Property and Public Intoxication.

Shelburne Police received a report of a missing 14 year old person from Pearson House in Orangeville. The youth spoke to police and gave a false name. Further investigation revealed the proper name of the youth who was then arrested and charged with Obstruct Police and Theft. During the investigation the police learned that the youth had stolen a quantity of alcohol from a residence. The youth was also charged Minor Consume alcohol.

The Shelburne Police also have numerous bicycles in their storage room that have been turned in. Anyone missing his or her bicycle is asked to attend the police office.
