May 25th, 2005 - June 8th, 2005

On March 3rd, 2005 the Shelburne Police arrested and charged Donald Kevin Snider 27 years of Orangeville with Robbery and Disguise with Intent. Snider was responsible for a violent robbery which occurred at the Mac's Milk in Shelburne, Snider produced a knife and a metal rod then demanded money from store employee's. When a staff member tried to intervene he was viciously assaulted and left lying bleeding on the ground. Mr. Snider was in court on June 6th, 2005 at which time he was convicted and sentenced on Shelburne's Robbery charge and an additional Robbery, which occurred in Mono. Mr. Snider was sentenced to 3 years 10 months jail in addition to his 3-1/2 months pre trial custody and a lifetime weapons prohibition.

The Shelburne Police have had several bicycles turned in, as well as a Lacrosse stick. Anyone missing these items are asked to contact the police office.

The Shelburne Police also had a "new" $50.00 Canadian bill turned in that was counterfeit. The serial number of the bill is RFH6652145.

On June 7th, 2005 a citizen reported that the lug nuts had been loosened on his vehicle while parked on Robert Street.
