The Shelburne Police Service must
investigate every 911 Emergency call.
Due to the increasing number of 911 hang-ups and misdials the
Shelburne Police Service is asking the public to take care when
dialing.
In order to reduce the number of False Alarm calls due to the
activation of an alarm system the Town of Shelburne has enacted
By-Law Number 38-2004. For a copy of this By-Law residents should
contact The Corporation of the Town of Shelburne.
In 2004 the Shelburne Police Service
responded to 231 hang-up calls to the 911 Emergency Service and 227
calls that were misdialed.
As of March 2005 the Shelburne Police Service have responded to 34
calls to the 911 Emergency Service that were misdialed.
